Incognito

A few more comments.
His chapters on law are truly revolutionary. You are right to acknowledge that the advance of brain science sounds the death knell for legal arguments based upon "non-culpable" factors in the brain.

The book is immature in the sense that the number of pages required to makes the few statements is indicative of a forming world view. As such it will capture the attention of those who are also just forming their views of this fascinating subject. But for those of us who have been at this for quite some time now, it would be more satisfying for David to either take the materialistic stance and show the successes or failures, or take the "there must be something more to human than only atoms" stance, and more fully develop his arguments from there.
